Mountain backpacking and long distance walking is my passion, and I love to encourage this in others, whatever the age or ability.
The mountain wilderness of the Scottish Highlands is an incredible place to walk and camp in, with so much to be gained from an overnight trip.

Unfortunately, there is no denying that carrying your tent, food and sleeping equipment in the hills is hard work!
With this in mind, I specifically design the trips to be at a slower pace, with plenty of rest stops. We'll aim to have time at the end of the day for relaxing and enjoying the incredible scenery. The backpacking trips are very suitable for over-50s, families, or anyone who just wants to go at a relaxed pace!
Alternatively, if you want to want to have bigger days and go further, I can easily accommodate that.

If you want a completely different experience, maybe try a hammock camping trip with a focus on bushcraft. Yes, hammock camping is very possible in Scotland! All my hammocks are midge proof, and hanging between two trees in an ancient pine forest with a view of mountains and lochs cannot be beaten.
For all our expeditions, I provide the rucksacks, tents, sleeping bags, mats, hammocks and food. You bring the excitement, enthusiasm, clothing, waterproofs and appropriate footwear.​
